Welcome to the home of Skiin’ with the Galilean. We are happy you have taken the time to find out what we are all about. SWTG is a water skiing/wake-boarding and Bible day camp for orphans, foster children, and children with special needs.

Our goal is simple. We strive to love these dear children unconditionally and sacrificially in order to provide them with one of the greatest days of their lives.

One week every year, over a hundred volunteers give us their most precious resource - their time. Everyone is united around a singular purpose, making a significant impact in the life of every camper so that each one goes home knowing they are greatly loved.

And in 2012 we are excited to announce that we will be hosting 2 camps, our original camp in Austin, Tx Jun 19 - 21 and our latest camp in Athens, Tx Jul 25 - 26. Find out more in our news section.

On The Lake

Even to the most disinterested passerby, it's obvious that something exciting is happening. Instead of the typical mid week calm most lake goers expect, the scene is transformed by dozens of ski and wake-board boats full of laughing, smiling and excited kids of all ages.

At any given time you may see a 2nd grader beaming with joy as they glide across the water for the first time - still in a state of shock that they are actually "riding" on top of the water. Or perhaps you see a child who spends most of their life struggling with the restrictions of their physical disabilities who for one day, one afternoon has the opportunity to be a "normal" kid and experience the thrill of skating across the water on an inflatable.

Sharing that joy with as many deserving children as possible is what SWTG is all about.

On the Land

If the aromas rising from the BBQ pits don't capture your attention, then the thirty foot serving line is certain to make you stop and stare. While dozens of people feverishly prepare to serve a 5 star meal, there are others finalizing preparations for on shore games and activities.

As chaotic as all this may seem the real excitement begins when the 100 - 125 SWTG campers return to shore. Their adrenaline may be running high, but their stomachs are running low. It's hard to tell if their smiles are because of how great their meal is or because for a rare time in their life they realize someone cares about them with no strings attached. In the end, that's the message SWTG wants every camper to leave with - the knowledge that they are greatly loved and that there is always hope in every circumstance because of Christ who loves us all.
